miMove has been created by 2 educators, Greg and Marcella; people who understand, have deep expertise and years of experience in working with young people. Their professional ambition is to ensure that more young people reap the multiple benefits that are associated with being physically active. It draws upon their knowledge and application of behaviour psychology, pedagogy and motivational theory. They place the young person and their actual lived experiences, at the very centre of every decision they make.
Greg is a distinguished physical educator whose driving passion is to ensure that all young people have the opportunity to reap the multiple benefits of physical activity.
He led the PE departments of several secondary schools before moving into Higher Education. He founded the Centre for Physical Education, Sport and Activity at KIngston University, London where he is currently the Director.
Marcella taught English at secondary school for 12 years, specialising in teaching students with English as Additional Language. She established mi sport with Greg drawing upon her excellent communication and organisational skills.
As someone with years of experience of inclusion within education, Marcella helped shaped the miMove vision of supporting young people in benefitting from what should be a great part of life
