miMove was founded by Greg Dryer and Marcella Griso

My life was shaped by physical activity and sport and I soon became aware how much this supported my life flourishing. It became my goal through teaching to ensure as many young people as possible developed a positive relationship with physical activity to reap the same benefits.
I chose communities in inner London where I could have the most impact, with young people who had the least resources and opportunities. I loved my job but unfortunately it was cut short when I was diagnosed with a serious illness. This led to major life-changing surgery. I decided upon two goals – to find an innovative way to impact more young people and to complete Ironman.
I moved into university-based teacher education to spread the reach of my work. Never wanting to be detached or irrelevant, I continued teaching and established a children’s physical activity business (which we sold in 2019). Over the years, I built a far- reaching reputation that took me around the world, most notably to India, where my work reached hundreds of thousands of young people. I soon became frustrated by the limitations of my reach and concerned by the lack of data to measure the impact of our work.
Marcella (my co-founder) and I spent months mapping out how to solve this issue, in a way that would centre the young person and scale. miMove was born… I also completed Ironman.

I began my career teaching English Literature in inner London schools, specialising in English as an Additional Language. Working with young people from diverse communities gave me a deep appreciation of the importance of inclusion, belonging and ensuring every student has the opportunity to flourish.
Alongside teaching, I co-founded a successful children’s physical activity business, designing and delivering bespoke ski holidays for families. This experience combined my passion for young people’s development with my organisational, communication and relationship-building skills needed to create exceptional experiences.
With a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on user experience, I continue to shape the development of miMove, ensuring the platform remains intuitive, meaningful and firmly centred on the needs of young people, teachers and families.
I believe that giving every young person a voice and understanding their lived experiences is fundamental to improving participation, wellbeing and enrichment, and that every young person deserves the opportunity to find activities that move them.
